Free All People
Three words from Buddhism sum up the mission of Joy From Within.
Joy From Within recognizes the suffering and pain that you live with and aims to help you relieve that suffering.
Of course this is a choice only you can make for yourself. Joy From Within trusts that love, joy, and freedom will spread person to person.
Mindfulness, meditation, tapping are the three main techniques for remembering your own Love, Joy, and Freedom.
So much pain and suffering is relieved by committing to yourself. Making a decision to untangle your web of Self Doubt, Fear, and Negative Thinking is just the first step.
Growing up you have encountered some experience of the world that you either interpreted or were told how to respond to. This became your de facto way of interacting with everything and everyone. In other words, it became your habit. This habit is reinforced by “the pile of life stuff” that you have experienced.
From this place of interacting in habitual ways, you attempt to find happiness from external sources while avoiding looking at your own internal pain.
Self Doubt (feeling less than human or less than everyone else), Fear (worry, panic, anxiety about the future) and Negative Thinking (habitual gossip, judgmental patterns, blame, regretting the past) lead you to look outside for happiness, fulfillment, satisfaction.
Viewing yourself as a victim, manipulating others to get what you want, limits your experience of the world, even the universe.
Acting in these ways extends pain and hurt to others.
So in avoiding looking at yourself, a belief arises that somehow, happiness will be granted. If I’m not happy, then I must be less than everything else. Fears arise and Negative Thinking lashes out, blaming others, God, even the universe for your predicament.
In short, you feel powerless when you are in this place.
If you attempt to feel or be powerful, you experience a sense of becoming better than others or attaining some rank that feels as though you are more important.
When you see yourself as a victim you make decisions and take actions that reinforce this belief about yourself.
All of this takes on the meaning that each individual form is separate. You are separate from everyone else. Humans are separate from other animals and the earth. Thoughts have their own individual truth and existence.
If you judge your neighbor you ignore her humanness. If you abuse the resources of the earth you do not seeing the interrelated nature of all things. If you beat yourself up for your shortcomings you sabotage your true potential.
Essentially all things are one. We live as separate human beings, waging war, taking on the roles of the powerless and the powerful. Each living as though no one else matters.
By uncovering your true nature, releasing your personal pain and misery, then you create space for compassion for yourself, your neighbor (everyone) and your true power shines through.
Personal Power is not about lording over others, or exacting justice on the world. Rather it is in having compassion for yourself, your family, your neighbor.
Everything is connected. Everything is one. The interconnectedness of the universe is outside your belief system when living from self doubt, fear, and negative thinking. In short your reality is limited.
The truth is you are born with Love, Joy, and Freedom. It’s the experiences of your life growing up and beyond, your “pile of life stuff” that covers over Love, Joy and Freedom.
True Love doesn’t come from an emotional energy or feeling. Rather it arises from compassionate actions. It doesn’t want or need. It gives and receives naturally.
Joy, arises from the deep inner peace of understanding the true nature (oneness) of the world. Examining your own pain, using the tools to relieve your suffering allows this to occur naturally.
Freedom cannot be guaranteed by any particular document or political doctrine. It may be guaranteed by such as the U.S. Constitution. However, the suffering you endure is due to habitual thoughts and emotions. Therein lies your prison. When you relieve your suffering, you become free from habitual thinking.
In this regard, I wish you to know that habitual thinking exists in all people. Some of it helps you to navigate the day. Much of it causes your physical, emotional, spiritual imprisonment. Freedom doesn’t mean you never experience it. Just that you are no longer a slave to it.
All of this happens not just on a personal level. It happens on a community level. Communal pain exists in organizations that insist on singular ways of thinking. It occurs from small groups all the way up to multi national groups. Hatred, judgement, cruelty, secrecy, and harm often are the result.
Real Freedom can only start within the individual. Each individual is responsible for their own journey toward freedom. When you embark on this journey there is much to learn. Or unlearn as it were.
Love Joy and Freedom means taking responsibility for yourself, cultivating compassion for yourself and others, setting the example of peace. Thus all beings become free.
One person at a time.
